JAN. 6 PROSECUTIONS More than 1,000 people have been charged in connection with the Capitol attack. Question: If pardoning someone is considered an “association,” then if re-elected, Trump will be unable to keep his promise to pardon any of these worthies. In addition, there are a number of additional potential criminal associates who have been charged alongside Trump in the other three indictments awaiting trial, and other indictments reported to be in the pipeline. And finally, the TRUMP ORGANIZATION found guilty of tax fraud. Does that mean Trump can no longer a) visit any properties owned by the Trump Organization, b) participate in the management of his company or c) associate with any of the company’s officers, including his sons Don Junior and Eric? Separately, MICHAEL COHEN Trump's former personal lawyer and "fixer" may be relieved that Trump will have to keep his distance.
With that in mind, Judge Merchan might well impose parole on Trump for the next 4 years (a period equal to the maximum prison sentence allowed by N.Y. law), which should drastically limit Trump’s choice of campaign personnel and appointments to government jobs if he should be re-elected president.
